Saavedra's Shenanigans: Madalyn's Baby Shower

Madalyn's diaper cake- Made by Lauren!

Today my best friend and her mom threw Madalyn the sweetest baby shower! It was at Apple Annie's Tea Room which was the perfect spot. Lauren did a great job on the decorations- the diaper cake was amazing and I have to say very useful- FULL of diapers! Plus I can use the extra recevieng blankets and decorations for Madalyn's scrapbook. She also set up a favor for everyone who came and had these gorgeous little cupcakes made to match.

They did a very tasteful job decorating. Simple yet very elegant and pretty. Plus it was easy to pack everything up and take it home!

I got to have my closest family and friends there for a girly afternoon. Madalyn's closest family- great grandmas, grandmas, and Aunts were there. And my closest friends came too! Lauren (I'm sure we'll die someday still maintaining our best friend status), Meghan, Katy, Kathryn, and Jessica helped celebrate. We sipped tea and played several baby games while we waited for our lunch to arrive. One of the cutest games was all the guests had to make a "play-doh" baby and I had to judge the winner. There were SO MANY cute ones!

Some of them were really artistic too. One in particular stood out from the beginning- a little blue one sleeping on his tummy wrapped in a cute blanket. I still don't know why it stood out so much, maybe the adorable little sleeping face! Anyway guess who's it turned out to be?

Maybe we just have the exact taste/style? Weird. Anyway she deserved the little prize for hosting such a great shower. Then we had a great lunch! I had the chicken broccoli cassarole- MMM it was sooo good!

We also did a baby girl name game, where we had to come up with a name starting with every letter. There were some interesting ones! I got so many things that I needed too. You'd think this being our second girl I wouldn't need much but funny thing I still did! Of course Madalyn will have tons of clothes; thanks to Kamryn, Isabella and Juliet all born at the same time of year!

I had a nice relaxing day with my girls (well except Kamryn but sometimes Mommy needs a break). Here are a few nice pictures with some of my family and friends. I wish I would have caught everyone on the way out!
