Big Girl Bed!

Here are pictures as promised! I only have ones of her new bed but I'm hoping to take some of her new room and post those too. There is just so much to be done around here I feel like I never have time! This was 2/26/10- her first night in her new room! This is actually a loft bed and the dresser and storage shelf fits under it. It does come with rails but after debating wether we wanted her climbing in and out of bed with a ladder, we decided that was a bad idea. Maybe in a few years! So we flipped the head and footboards to mount the mattress support lower down, but it still is not as low as a traditional bed. After adding the new pillowtop it brought the sleeping space probably 2 1/2 feet off the floor. She fell out that night and the next day we had to go buy an aftermarket rail to put up. This is a lifesaver! She uses her little stool to get in and out of bed, and I must admit it is really cozy in her little nook!
