Day one began at 300 in the am! Our flight left the gate at 6 and we needed to be at the airport by 430. Kamryn happened to wake up to go potty at the same time, so of course she didn't fall back asleep while we were getting ready. We didn't mind- we were going to miss her like crazy! Atleast we had plenty of goodbye hugs and kisses. Grand"MA" showed up at 4 and Kamryn got to sleep with her after we left... (she was SO EXCITED for us to go!)
We got to the airport no problem and through security in a flash. You can imagine that place is a dead zone at 430am on a Sunday. We left a little early and were one our way to our layover in LA. I tried to sleep on the plane but drank too much water in the airport and had to pee every 20 minutes. So much for that!
We had a 3 hour (ICK) layover in LA, but didn't mind too much. They had these awesome Best Buy vending machines- I wish I'd taken a photo but I didn't want to be THAT person! We got a nice breakfast/lunch, charged up the ipod and boarded before we knew it. 2 hours until CABO!
The flight down the Baja Penninsula was beautiful, and a few episodes of The Office and we were there! Clint felt like the President de-boarding down a flight of stairs right onto the tarmac! Now I won't bore you anymore with the events at the airport in Cabo- just some customs stuff.
It was a beautiful drive to the resort along the southern coastline from Los Cabos to Cabo San Lucas. I tried to get some good photos but we all know those kind come out too blurry. We were staying at the all inclusive Riu Santa Fe- and how beautiful it was!!! Upon arrival we weren't even finished checking in and they were bringing us drinks.
We arrived in our room (7330) and loved it from the start! The resort was immaculate- from the gardens to the design. Everything was amazingly clean, and everywhere you turned there was someone cleaning or maintaining the place. Our room had a fully stocked liquor dispenser and fridge with ICE COLD Dos XX- one of my favorite beers! Here is a picture of us being silly- remember this was after running almost 24 hours on 4 hours sleep...

Our view from the balcony was perfect as well- pool views and high enough to see the MASSIVE waves. (The beach made a drop off and the water was about 25' lower than the pools. My favorite thing was to sit on the balcony with some tunes and listen to the waves crash on the shore. There were times it sounded like thunder!

Then we were off to the dinner buffet, which was awesome! They had every kind of food you could crave from american to chinese! Can you tell we were exhausted?

And the displays were of course lovely. Here are a few watermelons masquerading as different creatures...

And my personal favorite! He was cute...

Needless to say after we filled our bellies it was off to bed so we could get an early start to the day!
