So I realize I haven't posted in a long time, but I do have little things that I've been collecting!
1)Ways to wake us up:
"Mommy, please get up."
"I am sweetie, I'm just tired."
"But you can get up and make me breakfast, then go back to bed."
Where did she get this from?!?!?
2)The next day:
Trying to wake both of us up on Saturday morning apparently we were too deep in sleep, so she went to grab her kitchen timer and set it off by the bed!
3)Kamryn with baby doll in her hand... "I have baby Juliet! I'm Aunt Celeste!"
4)So after she made comments about wanting to wear pull ups so she can pee pee at night, I figured it was time to put her in undies. We tried this 4 nights in a row, and while it seemed she was getting better, I thought, "What am I doing? I'm getting up to change sheets in the middle of the night, and I don't even have a baby yet!" So I told her the next night, "You can wear nite nites until you're ready." After a night like before she started getting up to go to the bathroom! I couldn't believe it was working! After a week of concecutive "dryness" it was onto panties! She is doing great and has now finished her second week without an accident. Now let's hope I don't jinx it.
And her newest thing....
5)I am getting so tired of the bedtime routine. While I am grateful that she doesn't need pull ups at night anymore, its three times to the potty right after goodnight. We get upset since we KNOW she doesn't need to go anymore, and she politely smiles and says, "Smile Mommy!" It's so hard to stay stern at that point. So yesterday she figures out how to MAKE me smile, and here is how the conversation goes,
"Smile, Mommy!"
"No I'm not happy right now because you keep getting out of bed."
"I love you Mommy! Now you're happy?"
"You sure know how to be cute, don't you?"
"Yeah. I do!"
Ok so of course this works!
6) "I'm THREE years old! I'm not a child anymore!" This is a quote from The Little Mermaid that she so cleverly re-worded to fit her needs...
I think that's all I can think of for the moment, hopefully it won't be so long until my next post!
