Welcome Fall!

Now that fall is officially here, we are enjoying the weather to its fullest! This past weekend we had plenty of outdoor fun planned!

Saturday Poppi decided a trip to Canyon Lake was in order since he got his boat fixed. Since Madalyn is too young to go on the boat, it was a Daddy/Daughter trip for Kamryn! Since I wasn't there to live the story and tell about it, I'll just have to give the details of what she told me when she got home. First she got to stop at the gas station on the way out for a snack. Oh no of course it wasn't a healthy one (I guess that is what Daddy/Daughter days are for)... she got strawberry milk and Cheetos! I will say though that it was much better than the day he took her to the children's museum and stopped on the way home for chocolate ice cream WITH m&m's AND chocolate syrup! Makes my stomach turn just thinking about it (yes she had a tummy ache later that day)... Anyway back to the lake trip. When it was time to put the boat in the water she was afraid that the car was going in too! The only other thing I know from that trip was that "we went SUPER fast!" You can see her enjoyment from the pictures...

Sunday it was a trip to Sea World! The Sesame Street Halloween show was appearing again (we went last year) and my little niece Juliet is now the one IN LOVE with Elmo! So we took all the girls. Kamryn and Isabella are freaks for the log ride- so they each went twice! I will admit it did make me nervous. I don't do well being up so high you can see downtown SA in a little log shaped boat with no seat belts! But Kamryn's love for it was TOTALLY worth it.
On her second trip down

Then it was time for the Sesame Street show! All the girls had fun even Madalyn who was mesmerized by the characters!
Juliet seeing the "real" Elmo for the first time!
So cute...

Had to get a picture of my little punkin!

Next we were off to see the new show "Azul." I have to say it was pretty amazing! They had dolphins and beluga whales and some really awesome high dive stunts. There were all kinds of exotic birds they had trained to fly around the stadium- how they did that I'd be curious to find out! Kamryn thought that show was REALLY COOL! My other daughter however didn't even know it was going on...
God she is so cute!

Then we went to "Fantasea." In the show schedule they described it as an "Sea World style trick-or-treating under the sea." I figured it would be in the aquarium, thought the girls would LOVE it... Turns out it was a walk through halloween decorations and people dressed as sea creatures... Not very cool but Kamryn and Isabella did think the little tiny bananas they handed out were cool! The mommies however, thought handing out hard candies was NOT.

Kamryn would NOT take a picture with any "creature" without me!

We went to go see the dolphins after that but Sea World had it all planned out- one side of the tank for those with food and one side for those with nothing. So basically if you wanted to touch a dolphin you HAD to buy food because they weren't coming on that side!

Any who- we were all beat and Madalyn was DONE with the stroller, and it was too hot to put her in the wrap. We called it a day but decided we need to go much more often now that the weather is cooler! Thought it would be packed but it was not crowded at all! We stopped by to take a picture with Shamu before we left, it took some serious convincing for Kamryn to do this.
"It's OK, I'm right here too!"

I ended up having to stand between her and Shamu

It was a great day! We LOVE Sea World!
