5 months!

These months are flying by! Madalyn is growing so fast to keep up! In this past month she has found her feet, learned to scream- many times to get attention, figured out how to roll on her side, and her giggles have turned into rolling laughter! She is just now figuring out how to use her babbling to carry on a "conversation."
Found her feet 9/15

Her solid feeding is going well too. I started her on rice cereal a month ago. We did just that for several weeks because I thought it was taking her a while to figure it out. I finally decided just to go ahead with the carrots and BAM she already knew how to get it down! I guess she just doesn't like the bland taste of the rice by itself. She LOVES carrots! Tonight we start green beans and I'm hoping I'll finally have a green vege eater- we'll see.
Carrots- Not sure of the new taste but loves it!

She is such a good sleeper- we are blessed again! This is the day in the life of Madalyn... (and this is more for me to remember than anyone else to really care about...)
8:00am wake up and eat. Drop Kamryn at school at 9:15. Head back home to play and go back down for a nap at 10. Eat again at 11 and play until 1. Nap from 1-2, eat at 2. Pick up Kamryn from school at 2:30, nap from 4-5. Eat her milk at 5, have her solid foods at 6:15. Bath time at 7:15, then eat at 7:30 where she passes out and sleeps like a champ until the next morning at 8am! On occasion she will take a 2 hour nap but I can't count on it.

Kamryn is doing great in school, she loves her teachers and also loves to come home and teach Clint and I what she learned! She is soaking up all the information so fast if I ask her to write a letter she already knows how to do it and I didn't even know she knew half the stuff! Right now her favorite song is "The B-I-B-L-E." And today in the store she busted out a new one, "I know all my vowels." I am just guessing the name of it but it consists of naming the vowels and the phonics to them.
Doing "homework"

Evenings at the park- the weather is so nice!

This past weekend we had a BBQ with 3 other neighbors and their kiddos. It's so nice to have so many families with little ones right across the street. Clint smoked an 18 hour brisket, 2 beer chickens and some ribs. YUMMMMM.

Relaxing at the BBQ

All the kiddos (except Madalyn had already gone to bed)

Yesterday we spent going through the house and attic for things to sell in our garage sale next weekend. Now I have to spend this week sorting and putting prices on things. The pile has been in my dining room for only a day and already it is driving me NUTS! I HATE mess. Since today is a holiday we met Lauren and Jackson at the pumpkin patch and then had a picnic at the park. The kids had a great time, now Madalyn is just fussy because she is thrown way off. Sorry punkin!
Love Kamryn's pose

Some precious candid smiles!
