First trip for FOUR!

This past weekend was my cousin's wedding! I was blessed growing up to be so close to my cousins. We braved the trip with a newborn so I wouldn't miss it. We left on Friday at 11 but with traffic we only made it to Buc ee's before we had to stop to let Madalyn eat. That was a fun 30 minutes in the car! Of course none of us were hungry yet so we stopped again later at a DQ. Kamryn was so excited to get to have a blizzard and then to know she would get wedding cake later too! We made it to Sugar Land and in our hotel by 4:30, when we had to rush to get Madalyn fed, us showered and all of us dressed for the wedding at 6!
It took place at a Safari Ranch. It was beautiful! True to Texas, and the perfect site for an outdoor ceremony and indoor BBQ!
Of course with 2 kids you are late for everything, so we stood in the back during the ceremony. Madalyn was of course asleep the whole time!
Christine- my beautiful cousin, and her handsome groom Dave!
While dinner was getting set up we enjoyed some great dancin' music! Kamryn couldn't keep off the dance floor, where she joined my Aunt and Uncle to boogie!
After dinner and also throughout the reception, Kamryn kept wanting to head outside to pretend she was getting married... UH OH! Clint said she stood at the front under the gazebo and looked back at him and said, "I'm getting married!" He said he'll remember that moment forever, and will flash back to then on her wedding day.
Cutting the cake- Kamryn couldn't wait for this part of course!
I had to get a photo of the girls in their matching dresses- I'm sure Madalyn will outgrow hers here pretty quick!
I love Kamryn's expression here!
My Dad holding Madalyn- right after their first dance together! Too bad she slept through the whole thing! I couldn't believe she was conked out during the LOUD music!

That night at the hotel she slept GREAT too! I realized the next morning it was the air conditioner making white noise that kept her asleep... I was SO excited! Needless to say we came home and bought a noise machine for her room!
We spent the day in Houston, we ate lunch at Goode Company BBQ- if you are ever in Houston you HAVE to eat there! Then we went to my Aunt and Uncles house for more quality time with the fam. I wish it was easier to get out there so we could spend more days like that.
We headed out of town around 4, and both the girls slept the entire way home! It was some much needed nap time for me too!

Congrats Christine and Dave! I'm so glad we got to be a part of your special day. And Dave, welcome to the most awesome group of cousins in the world!
