1 month

1 month old- Crazy "hair" and funny face!

I can't believe today little Madalyn is one month already! When we are out and about people still think she is just a few days old. She is still so tiny but definately growing and filling out! Her birth weight was 6lbs 6oz, her 2 week follow up she was back up and past that at 7lbs! Now according to my scale she is 8 1/2 or 9lbs, but we won't take her back for an official weigh in until her 2 month visit. It has been wonderful not having to wake her up to eat, she has done several stretches of 4 and 4 1/2 hours, and last night slept 6! Just what Mommy ordered! She loves to sleep on her tummy during the day I let her do that on her play mat where I can keep an eye on her. Too bad I can't bring myself to let her do that at night- she sleeps SO good on her tummy.

Kamryn is doing wonderfully! Of course she is having some issues learning to share the attention, but that was expected. It has actually gotten better this week, she was being a little stinker for the first few weeks; craving even negative attention. Clint and I resolved this pretty quickly by sending her to be alone in time out. She finally realized that negative behavior didn't bring her any more attention. Positive behavior got WAY more! She is so smart and I'm glad she figured that out quickly. I was starting to go nuts!

Madalyn is such a good baby just like Kamryn was. I am SO blessed! Of course she cries when she's hungry or tired, but that's about it so far. We'll see more of her little personality when she starts sleeping less. Kamryn treats her so sweetly, always bringing her toys and wanting to hold her and give her kisses!
