Saavedra's Shenanigans: Easter Weekend with the Prince's!

DAY ONE:

After a busy morning at play group, and a short nap it was time to go see Isabella and Aunt Celeste! Kamryn was so excited to show Bella her new toy at Ma's.

Then Kamryn had to show her the park too... They had blast racing on the motorcycle...

DAY TWO:

Another busy day for the girls! We took them to see Peter Rabbit at the Steven Stoli Theatre. The girls loved it but have to say this one was a bit long and more for older children. We made it about an hour then had to leave and they couldn't wait to burn some energy! After lunch and a trip to target we just knew they would be exhausted... WRONG! They wanted to nap together but ended up not napping at all. Kamryn was in the big bed and trying to be patient while Isabella cried out her frustration of having to stay in the pack n play. With my ear to the door I could hear Kamryn telling her, "It's ok, it's ok." Then after a couple minutes of failure began to say, "Kamryn's going to lay down now. Kamryn's going to take a nap." That didn't work either so she got out of bed and told Isabella, "I'm going to go take just a little nap." She came out of the room and proceeded to lay on the couch! She must have been tired of the crying coming from her cousin. After a short doze in Ma and Poppi's bed, and Isabella was so tired by this point she cried until Mommy finally gave up. So much for napping! After that fiasco, we had a visit from Mrs Valerie, Maxwell, and Emily. The kids loved playing in the sand table outside, and spending some quality time together! We spent the rest of the evening at the house enjoying family time. A bit less hectic than the day before, but always eventful with kiddos to liven up the day!

DAY THREE:

We took the girls to get their annual portraits done together. This time of year always works out good because we can document their birthdays as well! Kamryn May 17 and Isabella June 1! While I was bummed out that my favorite photographer was too busy (it was of course Easter Weekend!) we decided to try out Target. We were really impressed! We got some amazing shots of the girls in the short time slot. Here are my favorites:

And because they did SO GOOD on their photo shoot, we let them ride the Ernie and Bert fire truck at HEB Plus! Kamryn's Favorite- but a special treat!

While we were out running around, Clint was at the house smoking a brisket, 2 beer chickens and pork ribs! So after naps that day we had a nice BBQ at our house. The girls had so much fun sliding, swinging, and playing in the bubbles. Kamryn did a great job sharing all her toys inside as well.
