8 Months!

Trying out that spoon!
Wow. So much has happened this past month! Madalyn started sitting up right on her 7 month birthday, got two teeth (12/15 and 12/18)and her third tooth is cutting now, started waving, clapping, and playing "pat-a-cake," drinking from a sippy cup, and started talking. Her first word was "DADA" on Christmas Eve! I kept trying to get her to say MAMA but it came out "BABA..." That's ok I still love it! She now adds another sound to words like saying "DAT."
Since she finally learned to sit on her own, we moved her to the big girl bath! Not before capturing one last adorable photo in the baby tub...

What she got for Christmas... her TWO FRONT TEETH!

Good photo of those teeth! And where did she get these gorgeous eyes?
Look at our big girl LOVING the tub!

Using a cup!
Sweet Mady now weighs 18 lbs 5 oz and is 26 inches tall! She is starting to hold onto things and stand, but we still have to be ready to catch her when her legs get tired. She still eats 2 solid meals a day and nurses 3 times a day.
Standing!

"Pat-a-cake"

Madalyn did catch a cold right around Christmas, and started waking at night because she was so congested. I would feed her since I knew she needed those extra fluids. After the cold went away she kept waking up to eat once a night. OUCH it was hard doing that again! This went on about a week until I decided we better get her back to normal quick since it seemed she was getting up earlier and earlier each night! One night of hell- 10pm till 12am off and on sleep then 12-2am screaming! I finally got her crashed out and she slept till 9:30 that morning.. I KNEW she wasn't hungry! Seems like that took care of it since then she has slept through the night again.
Kamryn has had a busy month too! Aside from the normal Christmas festivities, we went to see the Nutcracker with her best friend and cousin Isabella! They also got to go backstage and meet the dancers. They LOVED IT and since then she has been really into dancing to the songs.

She thought Father Frost was Santa- and YELLED it out during the performance...

Kambo had to get in there too!

Loving those teeth

We sadly had to say good bye to Ms. Sara. Yes I cried. Pre K was very good for her, and has taught her so much already! But I'll have to be her teacher for now, and I'm enjoying having her home with me. I need to soak her up the last few months before she starts Kindergarten! She has the next 17-18 years to be in school.
Loves all her friends- I hope at least one will be at Kinder Ranch with her this coming year!
