Our Family Stockings

So back in 2007 when Kamryn was a year and a half we traveled to Houston for Thanksgiving with my family. My lovely cousin Jennifer was working on a Christmas stocking for her husband. It was adorable! She told me that her mom had made the kids stockings back when they were little and how neat it was to have. I decided then that this was definitely something I wanted for my girls! I started back then and have done one every year because they are way too time consuming and lets face it I just didn't have much time! Of course I also have only worked on them around the holidays. Sewing each sequin just required the holiday spirit and Christmas music... So I FINALLY finished this year with Madalyn's stocking! I'm just so excited to be done- as long as there are no more kids in our future anyway!
So thanks to Jennifer and obviously my Aunt Beth who got the whole thing started- oh what about 30 years ago? What wonderful things for my girls to cherish and hopefully inspire them to  make for their families in maybe another 30 years!

Of course the girls had to have matching so there are no arguments when they get a little older... plus I think it's the cutest little snow angel anyway! Side note: Jen if it's a boy they have the cutest snowman pirate! Which would have been Madalyn's had she been a baby Jack...

Thank you to my family for the inspiration! I'm so glad I did them!
