So we've been so busy I haven't blogged in a while. Here is our update for the past month...
We are busy moving Kamryn into her new room- so sad to loose the office but it forced us to organize the whole house. So my spring cleaning is done! We just finished moving everything out and are starting to get things set in her new room. This weekend we'll be setting up her new bed and she is extatic! I'll have to post pictures when it's done! Then I'll have a nice buffer of time to get out all the baby things and set the nursery back up. I'm so glad we are having another girl so I don't have to buy any bedding or big items, and Sophia is going to have TONS of clothes since they will both be May babies.
OB appointments are going great! By this time last year I was already having heart palptations and had to monitor that, plus swelling that lead to preeclampsia at 35 weeks. I don't want to jinx it but I feel much better this time! I started out 20lbs lighter- YIKES I don't know how I was 130 when I got pregnant with Kamryn but I guess it was that first year of being married and thinking I could still eat what I wanted? I also had a very stressful job and so this time around I'm hoping that the lack of weight and stress will allow me to stay healthy this pregnancy. I've gained 20lbs so far which is about average I'd guess.
I've got the best friend in the world who is planning a small shower for us, that will be so much fun and girly! She will also be the fly on the wall during labor and birth to photograph those moments we'll never get back. I can't wait!
I'm getting more and more excited to try a natural birth. Clint and I met with a couple doula's this month and found one we love. She has 14 years experience and TONS of births completed at St. Lukes. She is also a member of San Antonio Birth Doula's so we should have access to a birthing pool that she will set up and take down in our hospital room. It's up to my doctor if she will allow me to birth in it, but atleast I'll get to labor in one! I've read my Hypnobirthing book and got a couple more great ideas from our doula. She told us about the Bradley method which is growing in popularity in South Texas- it sounds very much like Hypnobirthing. I'm trying to psych myself out I KNOW I can do it! With Clint as my support and our doula to support both of us and be our liason with the nursing staff, we should be looking to a great birth experience!
Here I am... I don't even want to know how huge I'll be in 3 more months! I also thought my chest was supposed to be smaller the second time around. Notice I'm supporting the top to actually show the size of my belly. Anyone know where I can get a good bra in a huge size? *sigh*
